Privacy and your information
How information is used when you contact Aquamarin, use Connect or speak with the team through Telegram.
Last updated ·
1. Contact and responsibility
This website and Connect present services under the Aquamarin Portugal brand. For questions about your information or to make a data request, contact info@aquamarin.pt. Before engaging a service, request the provider's full legal identification and the contractual details relevant to that service.
2. Information you provide
The initial enquiry form asks for your name, email, service of interest and timing, with an optional message. Correspondence may contain additional information you choose to provide.
For an existing client, Connect handles account details, case information, requested documents, meeting information and messages. Please provide only information relevant to the request and avoid sending account passwords or authentication codes to the team.
3. Purposes and grounds for use
Enquiry information is used to respond, clarify your needs and consider the services you request. Client information is used to perform and follow up on agreed work, communicate about the case and manage access to the portal.
Depending on the activity, processing may concern steps you request before a contract, performance of an agreement, applicable legal duties or legitimate interests in protecting and operating the service. Where a particular use relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing updates.
4. Website preferences and technical records
Necessary session and preference storage helps operate the service and remember choices such as language and appearance. You can change those preferences or remove browser storage; removing necessary session data may require you to sign in again.
The default language can use a local lookup of IP address ranges to distinguish Portugal from other or unknown locations. This lookup does not send your IP to an external geolocation service. Hosting and security records may include network addresses, request times and event details needed to operate the site, investigate errors and limit misuse.
5. Connect, Telegram and other recipients
Client case files are held in private Connect storage and access depends on the account and its permissions. Service and hosting providers may process information needed to operate the website and portal. Any additional recipient needed for a specific service should be identified as part of that service.
Messages you send to the Aquamarin bot and replies delivered through it are also processed by Telegram under its own terms and privacy arrangements. Disconnecting a linked account does not erase messages already held by Telegram. Consider using Connect for requested case documents, and ask the team about any service-specific recipient or transfer outside the European Union before sharing sensitive material.
6. Retention criteria
Retention depends on the purpose and the work involved. Relevant criteria include whether an enquiry is still being answered, whether agreed work or follow-up is ongoing, whether records are needed for applicable legal duties or claims, and whether technical records remain necessary for security or incident review.
An account being disconnected from Telegram does not by itself delete its case records. Contact the team to ask what is held about you, which retention criteria apply to your service, or whether information can be erased or restricted.
7. Your requests and choices
Depending on the processing and applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal information, object to relevant processing or withdraw consent where consent is the basis. Send your request to info@aquamarin.pt. Identity may need to be verified in a proportionate way before a request can be fulfilled.
You may also raise a concern with the competent data protection authority. In Portugal, this is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD). A request may require assessment where retaining information is necessary for a legal duty or a legal claim.
8. Keeping this information current
This notice describes the website and service features available at the stated update date. Relevant service details and any changes in the use of your information should be explained through the applicable service information or an updated notice. Contact the team if you need clarification before providing personal documents.
